WIDE-DYNAMIC Camera
Our Wide-dynamic technology is developed by a completely different technology than conventional CCD - the Digital Pixel System® , or what we call DPS.
What’s DPS Technology
DPS is the technology invented at Stanford University in the United States in 1990's, and further developed by the engineers from Silicon Valley, where the best IC and chip design companies locate. The new DPS chip is designed particularly in enhanced wide-dynamic range for objects under strong light condition.
What’s Difference between DPS and CCD
(1) CCD is the traditional solution for security cameras, which is not perfectly adapted to the problem of signal degradation or unclear pictures under strong light condition, but DPS is focused on the perfect solution of Wide-dynamic.
(2) DPS is more complicated on its variations to meet different strong light condition than CCD.
(3) The testing reports shows that among all wide-dynamic solutions in CCD or DPS technology provide by different camera manufacturers, DPS is giving the best testing result.

TFT Monitor
We have decided to build up our own production facilities in larger capacity, in order to put down the cost. We also found that the bigger the production capacity, the lower the cost would be. Even though the demand of CCTV professional TFT monitor is much lower than the regular PC monitor, it is still the same rule. Due to this reason, we have recalculated our production capacity, and the cost based on the full capacity, and we found that the cost could be further reduced. You may know that no factory would ever try to send out the
quotation based on the full capacity, as it is too risky. There's no guarantee if the factory would be always fully occupied by orders. In TOPICA strategy thinking, we are challenging this rule, due to the following reasons.
1. TFT LCD monitors will largely replace the CRT monitors in the next few years, just like the speed for DVR replacing VCR.
2. The picture quality of TFT LCD monitor is getting better.
3. The reduction cost of TFT monitors will help replacing CRT monitors more efficiently.
4. There are only very few CCTV TFT monitor factory in the market, except few big names like Samsung and LG who are also in the CCTV business.
For the above reasons, we think this is our opportunity and challenge, but since we have made up our mind to go into TFT monitors, there's no turning back, we could only move forward.
Based on the theory, we have figured out the real cost, and we would like to feedback to you right now in order to help you to establishing the line as soon as you can.
